Pope Francis and the Left Option for Brazil -- "Political" Blessing of a Marian Statue of Aparecida in Vatican

(Rome) Last Saturday the daily bulletin of the Vatican announced that Pope Francis in the Vatican Gardens has blessed a bronze statue of Our Lady of Aparecida. It's a religious act mingled in a "strange" way with a policy that is related to the dismissal of Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff.
The previous day, the Cuban press agency Prensa Latina reported that Rousseff's predecessor, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Brazil's president from 2003-2011, wrote the Pope a letter about the "serious" political situation "in Brazil and in the world". Rousseff and Lula belong to the same party, the Partido dos Trabalhadores (PT), the left "Workers' Party".

Prensa Latina is a press agency controlled by the communist regime in Cuba. The fact that they published the Lula-letter in full, recognizes the regular connections between the PT and the island state of the Castro brothers.

Lula informed Pope Francis in the letter that "conservative" political forces at work are on the "edge of legality" - wanting  to "prevent" a "continuity and progressive projects  and social development and free inclusion" by the Workers Party (PT).
In another letter Lula praised the "achievements" of the Workers' Party and sharply condemns the attacks against Dilma Rousseff. In order to take steps to  "criminalize" Rousseff and the "social movements", especially the PT.
Lula demands that can the people must be able choose its President "freely" by which he implied that free elections by the "conservative" forces are under threat. , The Lula wrote:  the "conservative" forces "fear that the people will choose me in 2018," and would therefore make him president again. The Brazilian constitution allows only two consecutive terms of a head of state. Meanwhile, Lula could run again.

Same letter from Venezuelan President Maduro

On Saturday it was announced that Pope Francis had received the exact same letter from Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. In addition to the Cuban contacts, the common action of Lula and the "Bolivarian" President Maduro, reveals a political landscape that is situated with varying shades of social-democratic and communist, clearly left.
Observers doubt that it was an "accident". The letters and the cooperation of the Brazilian-Venezuelan-Cuban Left and the blessing of the statue of the Virgin of Aparecida, a Brazilian Marian shrine, "may be a coincidence, but it does not look like one," said Secretum meum mihi .
Pope Francis used the blessing to take a position on the situation in Brazil and did this by mixing religious and political aspects. The  pontiff said that Brazil is experiencing "sad moments."  That gesture and words as partisanship for Dilma Rousseff and the Workers' Party are to be understood,  which the "Pope-Girlfriend" and Pope's biographer, Elisabetta Piqué assures with an article in the Argentine newspaper La Nacion.

"May the Blessed Mother sustain left governments and keep 'conservative' forces back?"

With the blessing of the statue of Mary, Francis announced differently than initially indicated, that he would not travel to Brazil in 2017  to take part in 300-year celebrations of the Marian shrine of Aparecida.

Francis asked Our Lady of Aparecida on Saturday,  "to protect the Brazilian people in this sad moment and the poor, the marginalized, the abandoned elderly, to protect the street children; to save her people with social justice in the love of Jesus."
Piqué's article leaves no doubt that a certain political option is meant to be protected by the Mother of God. To say it in the sense of Lula and Maduro: "May the Mother of God sustain the left-wing government in power and keep the 'conservative' forces them away," said Francisco Fernandez de la Cigoña.
Already in the course of the presidential campaign in Argentina, Pope Francis had chosen the left option and preferred the Peronist candidate, but the people elected the "conservative" opposition candidate, which has since led to a series of tensions in relations.
The same signaling by the Catholic Church leader took place on his Latin American visit in 2015. During the meetings with the leftist president of Ecuador and Bolivia were demonstratively friendly, Francis showed the "conservative" president of Paraguay the cold shoulder, to put it cautiously. In fact, he attacked him openly and completely without foundation.

The Pope Likes Hermann Hesse

Kretschmann described the pope as a "thoroughly impressive personality." Francis had a "watchful eye" and a "watchful heart".

Rome (kath.net/ KNA) Pope Francis appreciates German literature: Hermann Hesse's story "Beneath the Wheel" has been read several times by the head of the Catholic Church, according to Baden-Württemberg's Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann. Francis had met the Green politician and avowed Catholic Francis on Friday at a private audience and brought him a copy of this book. After the meeting, reported Kretschmann, Francis received the gift by saying, "I've already read this three times".

The Pope and Kretschmann had at the 30-minute conversation for which an interpreter was also present, discussing in particular the environment and the refugee problem.

The Catholic Church itself "could happily praise to have such an alert, attentive Pope who follows everything that happens in the contemporary world so closely, "Kretschmann praised Francis after the encounter. "Culture of Fornication": Argentina's Bergoglian Bishops -- Case Macri to Case Aguer


 (Buenos Aires) The bergoglian Argentine bishops, the greater the confusion seems to be (see The contradictions of the Church "the open doors": Argentine President Must not be Godfather ). The Archbishop of La Plata, the historic opponent of Jorge Mario Bergoglio in Argentine episcopate, criticized in a column the widespread "culture of fornication." His brother bishops distanced themselves from him.

The Case Macri and Political Antipathies

The newborn son from a Catholic  family with many children was denied baptism in Bergoglio's Archdiocese of Buenos Aires because - according to an Argentine tradition, the sponsor for the seventh child is the President -  who since December 2015, is the incumbent president Mauricio Macri, a remarried divorcee, who had been rejected as godfather.

Macri, who displaced the previously ruling (left) Peronist from power last fall, has ever since been the validly declared main enemy. It's a conflict that seems to have been transferred to the Church. That Pope Francis would have preferred the Left-Peronist candidate in the presidential palace, is an open secret.  A donation of the new president to the Pontifical University Foundation Scholas Occurrentes was returned in April's return mail to the donor. In other words: The donation came from the wrong (political) area, with which one would not even have anything to do in terms of good works. It was a veritable papal disavowal of a head of state.
The same had happened already in July 2015 at the Pope's visit to Latin America. While the Catholic Church leader met with the left presidents of Ecuador and Bolivia, dazzling the mind and   also expressed this in front of the photographer, Francis went against the conservative President of Paraguay on a collision course. He made unheard of public criticisms of ​​the head of state to thousands citizens and the highest dignitaries of the country and they were also completely groundless allegations . It would be difficult to express (political) sympathies and antipathies more outwardly.
No wonder then that Argentina's bishops and pastors, at least those who want to be particularly bergoglian, follow the example of the Pope, and in turn disavow President Macri. The reel of rejection of Macri as godfather was opened at the Cathedral of Buenos Aires, the long-term "domestic church" of the current Pope, where he made his successor Msgr. Mario Aurelio Poli, a close friend and even created him a cardinal.

The Case of Archbishop Aguer

There isn't just friction between  the Pope and President.  There had been friction long before the papal election between the Archbishop of Buenos Aires and the "conservative" Archbishop of La Plata, Msgr. Héctor Aguer.  Jorge Mario Bergoglio in the Argentine Bishops' Conference was like a leader of the "doves", while Archbishop Héctor Aguer was the spokesman of the "hawks".

Since Cardinal Bergoglio had become Pope, he has been undermining the "hawks" by his new appointments, stripping feathers. But still the pugnacious archbishop of La Plata is in his office. In May 2018 he completes his 75th year.
In the daily newspaper El Día of La Plata Archbishop Aguer writes a regular column in which he knows how to swim against the current, as well as in his most recent column of August 23. Under the title "La Fornicación" to English "Fornication," where he raised his voice against "lewd culture", sexuality and love "trivialized".
What does he mean by a "culture of fornication," the archbishop explained with a practical example. He cited the Brazilian press, which had calculated that in just 17 days an average of 42 condoms were used by each participant at the Summer Olympics. Sexual intercourse with multiple partners, who are often perfect strangers, is a behavior that are in themselves, "animalistic," said the Archbishop. He used a popular Latin American gutter expression.
Among other things, Msgr. Aguer criticized the gender ideology and "other unnatural relationships." The Archbishop took up the cudgel for lifelong marriage in mutual love and respect between a man and a woman, and for the ability to bond, which sees destroyed contra naturam  through the fornication.
In this context, the archbishop engaged clear criticism of aberrosexual relationships and the possibility for them to adopt children.

The "trouble of the Church"

Archbishop Héctor Aguer drew with this column not only the wrath of liberals and the aberro-associations, but also his brother bishops.
In the issue from August 28 the newspaper La Nacion, the Argentine "house organ" of Pope Francis, published the article "Trouble in the Church on the Nature and Language of Msgr. Hector Aguer". The article "reflects," says the author, the "reaction of the Church" (!) to the column by Archbishop Aguer.
The article quotes three bishops who take a position against the Archbishop of La Plata  but remain anonymous.
"The same bishops who insisted in a conservative position in the case of Macri, represented in case Aguer the exact opposite, and therefore a liberal position," said Secretum meum mihi .
The distancing from Archbishop Aguer is established by the first anonymous bishops with "his language" and "his method."
The second anonymous bishop is quoted as saying that the column of Msgr. Aguer "is not representing the concerns of the Church, especially in a moment like this, with its much more important problems."
A third anonymous bishop reiterates the statement that it is indeed important that the people to know what the Church teaches on sexual morality and marriage, "but now tries to mediate teaching in a context of respect for individual freedom of believers."

Contradictions of the Church "of the Open Doors": Argentina's President May Not be a Godfather

(Buenos Aires) The new church line is coming snaking into the Argentina Church.  Everything seems to have its order, but  surely there is  no one, let alone the people, who might pass by the signals into a skid. Or is it all just a matter of policy?
The double Synod of Bishops had the obvious target, remarried divorcees - to better integrate into the Church - with or without admission, to Holy Communion. In an interview with the Argentine newspaper La Nacion, Pope Francis said on December 7, 2014:
"They are not excommunicated, that's right. But they may not be godfathers, they may not be lectors at Mass, they may not give Holy Communion, they must not be catechists. They may not do seven things, I have the list here.Stop! When I put down the bill, then it seems as if they were de facto excommunicated! Therefore: we open the door a little. Why should they not be godfathers?"
That was shortly after the end of the first Synod of Bishops and before the Second Synod of Bishops on the Family.

Baptism as Aberro Spectacle

On 5 April 2014, and a few months earlier, a child conceived by artificial insemination was baptized in the Argentine city of Cordoba Cathedral whose mother lives in a lesbian relationship with another woman. The two women who are active in the gay scene were previously briefly in a "gay marriage".

The baptism became a media event for the acceptance of homosexuality. The former Left-Peronist President Cristina Fernandez Kirchner was designated a godparent. The event caused a significant tempest, there was reasonable doubt that the lesbian couple could ensure a Christian education of the child. The same was true for the godmother, who had enforced the "gay marriage" in her term of office and wanted to foster the introduction of abortion.
All of the concerns were from the cathedral minister were brushed aside, not without the support of  the Archdiocese. This is about the baptism of a child, period. The girl wasn't just baptized in any chapel and in the absence of the media, but in the Archdiocesan Church and under a lot of hype.
Since there was no accompanying explanation, the impression remained that the Catholic Church recognizes aberrosexuality, "gay marriage" and artificial insemination of lesbian women. The sponsorship by State President Kirchner also gave the event a clearly political aspect and presented the baptism in the service of the aberro lobby.
With artificial insemination there is also the suspicion of  selective abortion is given in relation to aberrosexuals. Lesbians prefer girls, gays want to adopt boys or have the  delivery by surrogate mothers.

Transsexual as "Godmother"

In March 2014 a  "transsexual" Enrique Martinez aka Solange Lisette Luna Navarro, a prominent gay activist, complained that he could not be a "godmother" in an interview with Radio Fénix. "The law agrees with me,"  said the "transsexual" citing a "legal right", referring to the law of the state, not to the law of the Church.  Catholic doctrine had no influence on Martinez.
Shortly thereafter, the competent Archdiocese La Rioja published a press statement by the Vicar General, who announced that the "transsexual" may very well be "godmother."   The reasoning of the General Vicar was based, combined, on the "new legal order" of the papal pronouncement: "Who am I to judge."
The baptism of a girl with "two mothers" and sponsorship of a "transsexual," although in both cases the persons concerned expressed their rejection of a part of Catholic teaching in public statement, was for not a problem for the Argentine Church, nor for demonstrably politically tinged sponsorship of anti-Church State President.

Refusal of Sponsorship by President Macri

Things look quite different for the new conservative president Mauricio Macri. Macri has been married since 2010 in third marriage with businesswoman Juliana Awada. Awada, daughter of a famous Lebanese business family in Argentina with a Muslim father, Catholic mother (Syrian Catholic), had been baptized and brought up Catholic as had been her four siblings.

Tiziano, the now four months old godson of the President had to be baptized in a Protestant church, because no Catholic parish had offered their services. The reason? Because the president is divorced and remarried.
Tiziano is the seventh child of a Catholic family. One tradition after it is customary for the President to be upon request the sponsor of the seventh child. 
The mother of seven, Natalia Alcalle, went "very happily" to the cathedral, the former episcopal  church of Archbishop Jorge Mario Bergoglio to there to ask for baptism. The surprising answer was "No". Then she approached the most renowned Marian shrine of Argentina, the Basilica of Our Lady of Lujan. The answer was again negative.
In three parishes they asked. Once the name Macris was mentioned, "we were faced with a wall"  Mediamza wrote, citing the mother two days ago. After three rejections she had become "so embarrassed" that she did not dare a fourth request. "I was told everywhere, that is not possible, because the president is divorced and lives in concubinage."
After some consultation with the Presidential Chancellery, Pastor Victor Doroschuk of the Protestant  Church "Vida y Paz" was finally consulted.

Pontifical signal to remarried divorcees

It was Pope Francis, who significantly changed  the protocol of the Holy See changed abruptly, and President Macri had received last February 27 with Juliana Awada. Until then, the spouse of remarried and divorced State representatives were greeted by the pope only separately, and briefly  in a separate room. Also, there was no common photo with the Pope. The protocol was in order to engage clarity and  the conscience, to underline the difference between a regular and an irregular marriage connection.
The change means a few scant months after the end of the Second Synod of Bishops on the Family, a dramatic intervention in the Vatican protocol and it was understood as a signal of a change of course towards divorce and remarriage.

Pope "really links nothing" with President Macri

Overall, however, it is known that Pope Francis had preferred Macri's Left-Peronist opponent in the presidential election. Since then there have been several  taunts. This included that Macri, who took office as head of state on 10 December 2015 last March who offered the Pontifical Foundation Scholas Occurentes  a grant of more than one million dollars. "As of May 30th when the news came to the Vatican, the Pope took the anti-Peronist and Liberal Macri's victory very poorly, according to what his Argentine friends said," wrote the Vatican expert Sandro Magister. The money was sent back by return mail. Take no money from governments. However, that was something different under Macri's predecessor Kirchner.  Argentine media reported a "disavowal" of the President, with whom  Pope Francis apparently does not want to be associated.
Should political affiliations be decisive for baptisms in Argentina's Church under Pope Francis? Homosexuals, transsexuals and LGBT activists, yes, conservative politicians, no?
Education, training and information on Catholic doctrine and Sacraments in all directions and to all situations seem to be subject to the time of day.

Pope Francis' Spectacular Interview: Was Benedict XVI. "The Problem" of the Church?

(Rome / Buenos Aires) A spectacular newspaper interview with Pope Francis was published on Sunday in which the Pope uses an unusual dialectic. Is the Catholic Church leader to understand that his predecessor, Pope Benedict XVI, was a "problem" for the Church?" Indicates Francis in addition that "ultraconservative" Church representatives, according to context meaning the defender of Catholic marriage and morality and the Discipline of the Sacraments, actually "beheaded" include?

Newspaper interviews as a new papal "magisterium"

With his first interview that was published in the leftist daily on October 2013 by La Repubblica, Pope Francis revolutionized the communication policy of the papacy. The atheist from a Masonic Lodge, Eugenio Scalfari, gave it the title: "The Pope: 'Thus, I Will Change the Church'". With Francis a new communication strategy of a pope was introduced. For Pope Francis, interviews are part of the Magisterium: "All the time I submit declarations, keep preaching, and that is teaching," he said in December 2014 in his first interview with a Latin American newspaper, the Argentine La Nacion.

With his recent interview, which was published in Argentina yesterday, again by the daily newspaper La Nacion, Pope Francis continued with his special "magisterium".

The interview has an Argentina focus and addressed recent polemics in the Pope's home country. The Pope has been accused of having a disturbed relationship, since December 2015 with incumbent President Macri. The pope had supported the left-Peronist rival candidate in the election campaign.

The interview was meant to smooth the waves, hence the title: "I have no problem with Macri. He is a noble man. "

The Pope and the "Ultraconservatives", "I want an open Church. They say no to everything "

However, some questions concern the entire Church. So the Pope was asked by Joaquin Morales Solá how he gets along "with the ultra-conservatives in the Church."

The tendentious exaggeration of the term "ultra-conservatives", as it is known by left journalists, was neither corrected nor rejected by the Pope. The Pope responded by implicitly adopting it. In his own words about the "Ultraconservatives":

"They do their job and I do mine. I want an open, understanding Church that accompanies the injured families. They say no to everything. I follow my path, without looking to the left and right. I don't want to behead anybody. That's what I never liked. I repeat: I do not support the conflict.' With a broad smile he concludes: 'nails are pulled by making upward pressure. Or one puts them quietly to the side when they reach retirement age.'"

Astonishingly, Pope Francis made a direct connection between "Ultraconservatives" and "heads." He said he's never "chopped off anyone's head" because that still doesn't appeal to him. At the same time, the Church leader actually suggested that "ultra-conservatives" were actually "beheaded." And by that the Pope does not mean any special marginal groups, but apparently, high-ranking employees of the Roman Curia.

Resignation of Benedict XVI. "Has made all the problems of the church visible"

Another question from the interview which took place on the June 28th relates to the health of Benedict. Pope Francis confirmed his reply that there actually was no compelling health reason for the resignation:

"He has problems in moving, but his head and his memory are perfectly intact."

Simultaneously Francis presented, however, that the resignation was clearly Pope Benedict XVI's "last act of government." Recently, there were discussions after a lecture by Curial Archbishop Georg Gänswein about a type of dual papal authority in an "almost common" exercise of the papacy by an "active" and a "contemplative" Pope.

Pope Francis said of Pope Benedict XVI. for La Nacion: "He was a revolutionary. In the meeting with the cardinals just before the conclave of May 2013, he told us that one of us will be the next pope, and he did not know his name. His behavior was impeccable. His resignation made visible all of the problems of the Church. His resignation had nothing to do with the personal. It was a governmental action, his last governmental action."

Pope Benedict XVI. a "revolutionary"? The statement made with the excessively used word "revolution" which seems to be meant as a compliment, but is rather outlandish in characterizing the German pope.

On the other hand, the statement, Pope Benedict XVI. has "made visible all the problems of the Church" with his resignation is truly noteworthy. In connection with the next statement, his resignation had "nothing to do with anything personal," but was a "governmental action", Pope Francis himself opens the floodgates to new speculation that Benedict XVI. may have been pressured to vacate the Chair of Peter in order to eliminate "all the problems of the Church."

Does Pope Francis himself adopt the opinion as it was represented in 2012 by the late Cardinal Carlo Maria Martini? He even demanded the resignation of Benedict XVI. shortly before his death, because he saw in the German pope a "problem" for the Church, rather even, "the problem."

Pope Francis Won't be "Tied Down by Ultraconservatives"?

Edit: another staged "interview" wholly manufactured by a leftist journalist?  Here's what old liberal Crux has to say. He does give Catholics a lot of credit, and himself too much... If this is really what he said.

He's also trying to stage manage accusations back home that he was implicated in the so-called "Dirty War".


ROME-Pope Francis has vowed in a new interview that he won’t be slowed down by resistance from “ultra-conservatives” in the Church who “say no to everything,” insisting, “I’m going ahead without looking over my shoulder.”

The pontiff also suggested he has no intention of launching a crackdown on the opposition, saying, “I don’t cut off heads. That was never my style. I’ve never liked doing that.” [Yes you do, and you probably enjoy it, too.]

Weary of rumors that continue to circulate in his home country, Francis also told one of Argentina’s most respected journalists that there is no rift between him and the recently elected government of Mauricio Macri. [Another lie.]

“Don’t look for reasons [for conflict],” he said. “There’s no historical motive for saying that I have a problem with Macri.”

The June 28 conversation was with journalist Joaquín Morales Solá, who writes for La Nacion in Argentina. It was Morales who used the word “ultra-conservative” to describe internal resistance to the pope, and Francis said he “rejects conflict” with them.

“They do their job, and I do mine,” the pope said.

“I want a Church that is open, understanding, that accompanies wounded families,” he said. “They say no to everything. I go ahead, without looking over my shoulder.” [No mention of salvation of souls?]

Yet with what Morales described as a “wide smile,” the pontiff continued: “Nails are removed by applying pressure to the top … or, you set them aside to rest when the age of retirement arrives.”

The “nails” reference is often heard in Rome, used to refer to prelates who, having been bad administrators in their diocese - not criminally so, but simply inefficient - get appointed to a Vatican office. The suggestion appeared to be that Francis is slowly getting rid of people he perceives as problems, in many cases by waiting for them to reach the normal retirement age and then appointing someone else.

Another question was about emeritus Pope Benedict XVI, who Francis said has “problems moving, but his head and his memory are intact, perfect.”

The pope says that his predecessor was a “revolutionary,” of “unmatched generosity.”

“His resignation made all the problems of the Church clear,” Francis said. “It had nothing to do with personal things. It was an act of government, his last act of government.”

On the subject of Macri, which constituted the bulk of the interview, Francis said he has no problem with the president.

“I don’t like conflicts,” the pontiff said. “I’m tired of repeating this.”

Francis said that he had only one run-in with Macri during the six years the two worked together in Buenos Aires, one as archbishop and the other as mayor.

“Only once in a long time,” he said. “The average is very low.”

Newspapers from those six years address two possible points of conflict, but only one with a direct role by Bergoglio, in 2009: Argentina’s first gay marriage. It took place in Buenos Aires almost a year before the country legally approved gay marriage.

The wedding became possible because the couple found a judge in Macri’s city who ruled that Argentina’s civil code was “unconstitutional” because it didn’t allow for same-sex marriage.

The future pope released a statement saying the union “sets a serious precedent in the legislative history of our country and throughout Latin America.”

According to the statement, Bergoglio and his six auxiliary bishops, who also signed it, regretted that Macri hadn’t allowed for the “completely illegal ruling” to be appealed, which could have opened the door to a deeper debate on a matter of “such transcendence.”

“Affirming the heterosexuality of marriage is not discrimination, but to begin from an objective fact that is its foundation,” the bishops said.

Morales Sola writes that the pope knows of the alleged “coldness” between himself and Macri, and insists throughout the conversation that he doesn’t know where those rumors originate.

“We had some other problems, which we spoke about privately and which we resolved privately. And the two of us always respected the privacy agreement,” Francis said.

Another issue Morales Sola delves into is the pope’s decision to welcome to the Vatican Hebe de Bonafini, the founder of the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo movement, a divisive figure in Argentina who’s been openly critical of Bergoglio and the Catholic Church.

“Even a friend sent me a letter criticizing me for this,” Francis said.

“It was an act of forgiveness,” he said. “She asked for forgiveness and I didn’t deny her it. I don’t deny it to anyone.”

“She is a woman who had two of her children killed,” he said. “I bend over, kneel down in front of such suffering. I don’t care what she said about me. And I know she’s said horrible things in the past.”

Pope Francis Repeats Kasper's Scandalous Statement: "Luther Was Right"

(Rome) Besides the Brexit, a "new EU", the rejection of deaconesses, Pope Francis spoke on the return flight from Armenia on Martin Luther and the Protestant Revolt.


The Pope was asked in connection with his participation in a "Reformation commemoration" next 31st October in Sweden, if it would not be the "right moment, to commemorate  the mutually inflicted wounds," but "only to recognize the 'gifts' of the Reformation and perhaps consider lifting  the excommunication of Luther."

The Pope repeated in his reply, more or less, that which Cardinal Walter Kasper wrote what appeared in his last 14 March book "Martin Luther. An Ecumenical Perspective "(Patmos),  whose scandalous key message is:  "Luther was right." The reverse conclusion is: The Catholic Church was wrong. Francis indeed did not say this on the return journey, but the message has since been aired, continuing for months a significant drive towards a bow to Lutheranism. Here Pope Francis also includes Calvinism. Pope Francis has mentioned and commended the non-binding Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Justification of the Lutheran World Federation and the Catholic Church in 1999, while he did not mention one word on the binding Catholic Declaration Dominus Iesus, on the unicity and salvific universality of Jesus Christ and the Church from 2000.

Pope Francis said:

"I believe that the intentions of Luther were not wrong. He was a reformer. Perhaps some methods were not right, but at that time, when we read the story by [Ludwig von] Pastor - a German Lutherans who converted and became a Catholic - we see that the Church was not exactly a worthwhile model: it was corruption, worldliness, attachment to money and power. Therefore, he protested. He was intelligent and took a step forward and justified why he did it. Today we are unified as Protestants and Catholics on the doctrine of justification in agreement, and on this very important point, he was not wrong. He made a medicine for the Church, then he consolidated this medicine to a discipline, ito make it a way, a belief. And then Zwingli, Calvin had these principles behind them: ' cuius regio eius religio.' We must put ourselves in the history of that time. It is not easy to understand. Then things have gone further. This document on justification is one of the richest. There are divisions, even in the Lutheran Church there is a lack of unity. The diversity is what has perhaps been so bad for us, and now we are looking for the way to meet after 500 years. I believe that we need to pray together in the first place. Secondly, we need to work for the poor, the refugees, many people suffering, and finally that the theologians may study together ... That's a long way. I once jokingly said: I know, when the day of full unity will be: The day after the return of the Lord. We do not know when the Holy Spirit will effect this grace. Meanwhile, however, we must work together for peace. "

Mary Magdalen Raised to the Rank of an Apostole

(Rome) The Daily Bulletin of the Holy See announced in a decree on Friday at the express request of Pope Francis that on the Memorial of Saint Mary Magdalen, 22 July, she will be elevated to the rank of apostle.
The publications in Latin decree is officially dated June 3, thus the memorial is to be raised in the rank of the feast in the General Roman Calendar.
The measure is based on the Church Father St. Hippolytus of Rome (about 170-235), who described her as "apostle of the apostles" in the early 3rd century.
In the Church's history Maria Magdalena  has been known as the patron saint of women and the repentant sinners. In the Catholic tradition, Mary Magdalene is identified with the sinner that washed Jesus' feet (Lk 7.36 to 50).

Tradition links Saint Maria Magdalena with the evangelization of Provence. In Sainte-Baume (Occitan Santo Baumo) is the "holy cave" of Mary Magdalene. At least since the early 5th century there has been a monastic community and the Dominicans are responsible for the pilgrimage today. 
By decree, the reformulated Latin preface was simultaneously published in which  Mary Magdalene is called apostolorum Apostola. It is explicitly stated in the daily bulletin that the amendment was adopted "at the express wish of the Holy Father Francis".

Pope Francis on the "Heresy" of 'Either this, Or Nothing"

Rome (kath.net/as) "If your righteousness is not far greater than that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven": Pope Francis held forth in his homily at Mass in the chapel of the Vatican guest house "Domus Sanctae Marthae" on Thursday for the tenth week of Ordinary Time on the admonition of Jesus in the Gospel of the day (Mt 5:20 to 26) for a "far greater justice" to then focus on the importance of Christian realism.

The people are starting to falter, because those who taught the law, were not coherent in their witness of life. Jesus, therefore, urges the overcoming of this and to go higher. So he imagines the example of the first commandment of love of God and neighbor and underlines: "Everyone who is angry with his brother shall be liable to judgment; and whoever says to his brother, Thou fool, shall be liable to the law, and the High Council; but who says to him: Thou wicked fool, deserves the fires of Hell."(v.22).

It will do good to hear this, especially in our time, said the Pope, in which we have become accustomed to disqualify others, and employ a very "creative" vocabulary to insult the other. This is a sin, that is, to kill, because it means to beat the soul of the brother, his dignity." Often, said Francis with bitter irony, we have used many swear words "with, 'much', 'love', but we say them to the other."

Regarding the presence of children at Mass, the Pope urged people not to get excited, because: "the sermon" of children in the church is more beautiful than that of the priest, more beautiful than the Bishop and than the Pope." So one should let his child, the child who is the voice of innocence, do all good.

Jesus called upon these disoriented people to look up and go forward. Then Francis emphasized how much damage was being caused to the people by the "counter-testimony" of Christians:

"How often do we hear these things in the Church: how many times! Well, these priests there, this man, this woman of Catholic Action, this bishop, this pope says: So you have to act,' and he or she does the opposite! This is the scandal that hurts the people and it prevents the people of God from growing, that it continues. That doesn't free. Also at that time that people had seen the rigidity of the scribes and Pharisees, and when a prophet came who gave them a little joy, they pursued him and killed him: there was no place for the prophet. And Jesus says to them, 'You have killed the prophets, you have persecuted the prophets: those who brought fresh air.'

The generosity, the holiness that Jesus asks of us, "consists in going out, but always to the heights, in the heights. Going out, in the heights." This means the exemption from the rigidity of the law and of idealism that would do no good. Jesus "knows us well. He knows our nature." He exhorts us to reach an agreement, if there is conflict with the other.

Jesus teaches us also a "healthy realism". Many times it is impossible to reach perfection, "but do at least what you can, you agree":

"This healthy realism of the Catholic Church: The Catholic Church never teaches an 'either this - or nothing,' an 'either this - or that.' The Church says, 'both AND.' 'Be complete: be reconciled to thy brother. Do not insult him. [You Pelagians!] Love him. If there is a problem, then at least study and come to an agreement, so that no war breaks out.' This is the healthy realism of Catholicism. An, 'either that or nothing' is not Catholic: that is not Catholic. This is heretical. Jesus always understands he will accompany us, he gives us the ideal, he accompanies us toward the ideal, he frees us from this captivity in the cage of the rigidity of the law and tells us, 'Well, go up to the point as far as you can make it.' And he understands us well. This is our Lord, this is what he tells us."

The Lord does not require us to be hypocrites: "not to go and praise God with the same tongue with which one has previously offended the brother." "Do what you can," said the Pope, "is the admonition of Jesus, at least avoid war among you, come to agreement":

"And allow me to tell you that with a word that might seem odd: the is the tiny holiness of negotiation. 'Well, I can not do everything, but I want to do everything, I will agree with you, then we at least won't offend each other mutually, then we won't make war and live in peace.' Jesus is a great! He frees us from our misery. Also from that idealism which is not Catholic. Let us ask the Lord to teach us first to emerge from any rigidity, but so we can move up to worship and praise God. And He will teach us to reconcile us with one another. And also that we agree to the point, that we are able to.".

CDF Explains Relationship to Charismatics -- But Pope Francis?

(Rome) The Congregation of Doctrine and the Faith has clarified the relationship between the bishops and the charismatic movements. Moments where Pope Francis will kneel in public, are scarce, and if so, hardly before the Blessed Sacrament. One of those rare moments occurred on 1 June 2014 as Francis took part at the 37th Annual Meeting of the charismatic Catholic movement "Renewal in the Spirit" (Renewal nello Spirito) in the Olympic Stadium of Rome.
It was the first time that a pope participated in a meeting of the charismatic movement. To the Charismatics, to which movement are attributed about 100 million Catholics,  the Argentine Pope earnestly recommended  Cardinal Leon-Joseph Suenens and Archbishop Helder Camara as models.
Pope Francis was already in his time as archbishop of Buenos Aires the charismatic movement sympathetic to. This is connected with the contacts to the evangelicals, about which it is, however, calmed recently.

This coming June 14, the Roman Congregation will issue a document by which the relationship between the bishops and the charismatic movement should be clarified.  Cardinal Prefect Gerhard Müller of the CDF, Cardinal Prefect Marc Ouellet of the Congregation for Bishops, Msgr. Piero Coda, a member of the International Theological Commission, and Maria del Carmen Aparicio Valla, a lecturer at the Faculty of Theology of the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome should take  part.
The document, Iuvenescit Ecclesia (The Church Rejuvenates Itself) by the CDF, is addressed to all bishops and refers to the relationship between "the hierarchical and charismatic gifts for the life and mission of the Church".
This should be remove any ambiguity and  ensure the recognition of the competent hierarchical authority.  In the past there had been friction between charismatics and bishops because the former do not feel bound by the authority of the bishops. [LOL]

But what about the relationship between the CDF Prefect and Pope Francis?

As is known, there is no great agreement between Pope Francis and the Faith Prefect Cardinal Müller in the understanding of the Church and theology. There is also included on the part of the Pope, at least according to media reports,  personal reservations. The Argentine pontiff can feel it if he sees someone as a friend or not.
What role the document Iuvenescit Ecclesia plays in this internal Church  factional dispute at the highest level, can not yet be said. It still can not be ruled out that with this document, Cardinal Müller  is sending Pope Francis very different signals.
One first such opposition was expressed  by Pope Francis a few months after his election, when he received on 6 June 2013, to the board members of the progressive Latin American and Caribbean Conference of Religious  (CLAR). The progressive Chilean publication Reflection y Liberacion soon released an audience transcript. Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi SJ intervened  on this, explaining that the transcript was not "unauthorized," but did not deny its contents.

Among other things, Pope Francis confirmed to the CLAR delegation the existence of a " gay lobby " in the Vatican. The Pope himself used this formulation.
In the private audience for the CLAR Board Pope Francis also attacked tradition in the Catholic Church for the first time,  accusing traditionalists of "Pelagianism " and "restorative forces" saying that they "distress" him.
The CLAR representatives, however, got quite a different message, namely from the CDR, who condemned their engagement and theologians because of erroneous and heretical theories. How important this was to the progressive religious, was shown   Reflection y Liberacion published the transcript beginning with this topic. Pope Francis gave the delegation de facto permission to not worry about  the CDF's letter and to just keep going.
The pope said according to Reflection y Liberacion :
"If you do something wrong, get yourself off on the wrong track: that happens! Maybe then you get a letter from the CDF that says you have said this or that  ... Explain what there is to explain, but continue ... Open doors, do something where life calls. I prefer a Church that makes mistakes, rather than one that is sick because it imprisons itself ... "
